The Nosce surname can be traced back to the late 1800s in the unpretentious municipalities of Lucena and Tayabas, province of Tayabas, known today as the Quezon Province located in the central part of the island of Luzon, Republic of the Philippines.

Noted Filipinos with the name include Nestorio Nosce, Dr. Luis Queblar Nosce, MD, Judge Nestor Valdehuesa Nosce, Ramon Queblar Nosce (Philippine Military Academy – World War II hero).
