If you have purchased any Pokemon games you may find that it is really hard to think of a good nickname for your monsters. In this page I will have advice on how to pick your own unique names that will set your monsters aside from all the rest!

[edit] What type?

Sometimes, a name is best decided by what type your Pokemon is. A water type needs a cool name, a grass type needs a calm name, nothing too WOW, and a fire type needs an aggressive and more hot-headed name. However, this is not a rule, it is a choice! For example, my Empoleon is a water type, and I called him 'Lito', which is more a fiery name.


[edit] Uniqueness

Sometimes it is best to make up a whole new name, or spice a name up, just so it suits your monster better. Try adding extra vowels or consonants to add excitement to names, and if you're making one up then do anything you like!

(f)= female (m)= male (f/m)= either
