[edit] The Demise of Charles E. Simon(d)s

Charles E. Simons a/k/a Simonds passed away mysteriously when he was only 23 years old. He is buried in Northumberland Cemetery. Our family oral history has it that he was involved in a barroom brawl in a pub in Groveton, and as a result of the altercation, died suddenly. Strangely - he was never taken to a hospital and no medical official pronounced him dead. There was no police report, and the town clerk recorded his death as a suicide. Should anyone know of any small town folklore regarding this incident, please contact me at rwhiting2@comcast.net. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.24.47.10 (talk) 16:45, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
