[edit] parachute

FWIW, Northrop Ventura Division in Newbury Park, California made the parachute systems for the Apollo moon missions. LorenzoB 21:46, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Actualy Northrop made all the manned spceflight parachutes. This was because Northrop had purchesed Radio Plane Company which was a pioneer in making in RPV. This division made supersonic drones that used parachutes for recovery. NASA contrcacted with Northrop to make the parchutes because of the unique experience with the high speed parachutes.
