[edit] The mountain's name

I have seen several names for this mountain: North Franklin Mountain, North Franklin Peak, North Mount Franklin, etc. I went with "North Franklin Mountain" for two reasons:

1. The USGS seems to prefer "North Franklin Mountain," since it's the name that appears on Topo maps.

2. Because the mountain is in the central part of the Franklins, the name "North Franklin" only makes sense if used in relation to South Franklin Mountain (i.e., the two prominent peaks at the center). So, logically, the two mountains should have the same name other than the "north" and "south". As I have yet to see South Franklin referred to as anything other than "South Franklin Mountain," I went with "mountain" for both of them.
