I have not seen very much of Norman Collier, but I do remember him winning Ace of Clubs. Far from his victory mistifying viewers, I thought he won hands down, his sketch where he was a driving examiner taking a woman for her umpteenth driving test was very funny, although I suspect it would seem rather dated and sexist nowadays.
