Nortel TSX: NT NYSE: NT, formerly known as Northern Telecom Limited, is a multinational telecommunications equipment manufacturer headquartered in Toronto, Canada. The company's best-known products include the DMS/SL-100 phone systems, and the ERS-8000 Router and Switch systems. Nortel has manufactured telecommunications equipment since 1896 when it was called the Northern Electric and Manufacturing Company Limited. [1]
