Norwin High School is located in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, with a current enrollment of 1731 students in grades 9-12. It enrolls students from North Huntingdon Township, Irwin, and North Irwin. It is part of the Norwin School District. The High School, originally built in 1937, was recently the subject of a major renovation which was completed in 2006. Norwin High School's current Principal is Dr. Edward J. Federinko. The Assistant Principals are Tim Kotch and Joseph V. Shigle. [1]

- Norwin High School is known nationally for their award winning marching band which has won national competitions on several occasions.[2][3]
- The school's theater department has received 11 awards within the state for technical theater and performance. The Norwin Theater Club was named "Best in State" for 2007.[4]
[edit] Notable Students
Doug Plank, who attended Norwin, went on to play safety at Ohio State with the Buckeyes. He then spent eight years in the National Football League, all with the Chicago Bears. He is now a highly renowned coach for the Arena Football League's Georgia Force. He was the winningest coach in the first 3 years of a coaching career in the Arena Football League before the start of the 2008 season.
