North Dakota Lottery

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The North Dakota Lottery is run by the government of North Dakota. It is unique among U.S. lotteries in that it is allowed only to sell multi-state games (North Dakota is prohibited from offering games that would be available only within North Dakota),[citation needed] As a result, all of its games are part of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). North Dakota's games include Powerball, Hot Lotto, and Wild Card 2. (The Sizzler option in Hot Lotto is known by the North Dakota Lottery as "Triple Sizzler"; it is similar to Powerball's PowerPlay.)

Since most scratch games in the U.S. are offered in only one state, there are no scratch tickets in North Dakota (as of June 2008), making it the only U.S. lottery without them.[citation needed] However, the Midwest Millions instant ticket was sold in Iowa and Kansas, so North Dakota would be eligible to offer a future version of the game.

North Dakota's lottery games require players to be at least 18 years old.
