North American Presbyterian and Reformed Council
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The North American Presbyterian and Reformed Council (NAPARC) is an association of some Presbyterian and Reformed churches in the United States and Canada.
It lists as its basis biblical inerrancy and the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, the Canons of Dordt, the Westminster Confession of Faith, and the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms. Several Presbyterian and Reformed churches in the United States and Canada do not belong to the Council, including the Presbyterian Church in Canada and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) (which would be rejected because of theological liberalism), the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (which has been refused because they ordain women as pastors), and the Christian Reformed Church in North America, which was expelled after they approved female pastors.
