Norman Godman

Norman Anthony Godman (born April 19, 1937) is a Scottish Labour Party politician. He served as Member of Parliament for Greenock and Port Glasgow from 1983 to 1997, and for Greenock and Inverclyde from 1997 to 2001.
Prior to his political career, he was a dock worker and lecturer. He first entered Parliament in 1983, and stepped down in 2001. From 1988-1989 he was Opposition spokesman for Agricultural and Rural Affairs.
His wife is Trish Godman, Member of the Scottish Parliament for West Renfrewshire.
