Norman Elder

Norman Elder, explorer and exotic animal owner and one of Toronto's eccentrics, died in 2003 of an undisclosed cause. Elder, was the owner of the Norman Elder Museum on Bedford road in Toronto. Many of the interior shots in the movie Naked Lunch were filmed in Norman Elder's house. Explores He was the son of Robert James Elder, founder of Elder Carriage Works, the first carriage business in southern Canada with close ties to the first Weston’s Bakery, now known as Loblaw’s. Norman Elder grew up on Park Lane Circle, Toronto, where he discovered himself and his knack for outrageous endeavors. He is responsible for the discovery of one main pigmy tribe that proved cannibalism was still present.. He also ran for Mayor of Toronto where he had many remarkable television interviews before losing.
