Nolan is an Italian motorcycle helmet firm which started out in early 1970s.
Today, Nolan Helmets hold more than 50% of the European market and manufacturers all components to their helmets in house.[citation needed]
Nolan competes with high-end helmet brands such as Arai and Shoei of Japan, Schuberth of Germany and fellow Italian maker AGV and Suomy.
Nolan also manufactures the X-Lite helmet brand, which is used by Jorge Lorenzo.
Motorcycle World Champion Casey Stoner has used Nolan Helmets over his career as well as Marco Melandri.
