[edit] History

In 1997 the company Engineering Informatics was created to fill the gap between ERP business systems and engineering information. Engineering and plant information were often left out of ERP implementations, but crucially, this information was critical to the sound operations of most of these businesses. Engineering Informatics built a solid reputation in the SAP customer base for implementing technical document management solutions on the SAP platform.

Building on its sound background in engineering information on the SAP platform, the company transformed into a full-blown ECM consultancy, with divisions offering strategic advice for companies embarking on ECM projects and implementations, ECM solutions on the popular Microsoft SharePoint Portal, in addition to supporting the full SAP ECM suite of functionality backed up by. Backing this up are capabilities in scanning and archiving documents.
