[edit] Scots English
I am not sure why you moved 'Scots English' back to 'Scottish English'. Is it because you believe it is more correct or because I had yet to change terms on the page? If it is the former, the references I could find—AskOxford: Scots, Dictionary.com/Scots English, etc.—list Scots as preferrable to Scottish. Cheers, Pædia | talk 18:28, 2004 Apr 30 (UTC)
Most all (I can't think of any exceptions) literature on the Subject uses the term Scottish English. I assume this to be the preferred use and thus correct.
With other things preferences vary between Scots and Scottish. See also Scotch

[edit] Welcome back
Hello and welcome back to Wikipedia! I see from your contribs you were gone for almost two years. No wonder I hadn't seen you around language articles before; I've only been here a year and a half (and consider myself an old-timer)! Angr (talk • contribs) 15:08, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:HighlandLineGeo.png
Thanks for uploading Image:HighlandLineGeo.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:06, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Idiom (subsystem of language)
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Idiom (subsystem of language), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Idiom (subsystem of language). You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:MidUlsterEnglish.png
Thank you for uploading Image:MidUlsterEnglish.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 01:43, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
