[edit] "Can't cook or clean"
Is this really necessary info for a female character? It's like fostering the sterptype that a girl has to cook or clean to be worthwhile..why don't you mention if all the male characters can cook or clean, huh?
- It's not stereotyping females - Nodame REALLY can't cook or clean, to the degree of burning all the food, not being able to find her bed buried under all her junk, and having year-old stew left over in the pot. It's what makes Nodame what she is - someone who is unable to keep up with the daily chores but a genius at playing piano.--60.35.254.15 13:12, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'll second the comment that she really can't cook or clean. In the first episode of the anime at one point Chiaki makes the comment that "your head stinks" and she replies "Really? I'm sure I washed it four days ago..." Not to mention the black cream stew, the mushroom on the laundry, etc. --71.218.216.160 06:17, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'll also back that up. The fact that she is totally incapable of taking proper care of herself is a fairly important story line element. She depends on Chiaki for much of her food, going so far as to eat at his house every night, and is known for stealing the lunches of fellow classmates at least once (so far in the anime). Chiaki also does much of her housecleaning out of disgust for her living conditions. Chiaki is her polar opposite, well mannered (if stuck up), studious, dedicated, clean and a very good cook, so its used as an "opposites attract" storyline element and is pretty important to the plot. [edit] "Who wrote the plot??"
"Chiaki starts to question exactly how far he can possibly go in music, especially when he's passed over again and again for others he believes less worthy of musical scholarship and fame." Who wrote this mess?? When and where in the anime or manga did they say or show that Chiaki got passed over for...???? "Recently dumped by his girlfriend for a "ham" looking fellow, passed over for a chance to go overseas, and removed from his star spot in the piano competition because he walked out on his piano instructor, Chiaki is at his limit." Wow, someone watched something completely different and made one idiotic interpretation of storyline. Taking that misleading plot and copy&pasting dramawiki's synopsis which seems LOT better and accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.80.53.158 (talk) 02:06, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Stresemann
I noticed that user:131.107.0.73 changed the spelling for Stresemann to Strezeman. Is this how they have it in the Del Rey translation? The original Japanese manga spells it Stresemann, and it is the correct/common German/Austrian spelling. --Mikeats 23:34, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Looks like it's Stresemann in the North American version as well, so I'm going to edit back the spelling. --Mikeats 17:39, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- However the drama in episode 5, spells it with a "z".. so then what? Is there an original spelling in romaji in the manga? Even if not, it should be made note of somewhere. --Hitsuji Kinno 02:11, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Late night anime ratings record
According to ANN, the first episode of the Nodame Cantabile anime broke the late night anime record for ratings for a first episode with a 5.4% rating (it was previously held by Hajime no Ippo at 4.8%). I'll try to find the exact URL for this news item, right now it's just on the front page. How should this be added into the article? Leebo86 19:33, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

- I'm of the opinion that its not worthwhile information, and should be omitted. If one is really inclined to include it, then i guess it'd best be included in the trivia section... --Bazarnz 14:29, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Nodame is a real person??
Look at the link http://www.magnetic-rose.net/74x/?p=161 and http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/manga.php?id=4441&page=22/ It said that the Nodame is a real person. But I think the source is unclear, and need other people to proved it. Is it real that Noda Megumi is exist and also dirty like that?? -- Tan pang
- Yes, Megimi Noda is a real person confirm by Tomoko Ninomiya from an official interview (Kodansha). *リアルのだめの部屋。ピアノ弾いてるのはもちろんのだめ……。ショパンのエチュード演奏中。こんな汚い部屋で聴かされてもね。 Translation of first senterence: The real Nodame house...--Burning Flame 03:57, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Should a list (or an entirely new article even) of the official soundtracks for both the anime and the live action drama be added? Pyon 10:59, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Differences between anime and manga
Since anime has ended and manga has not, I am assuming there are some. Anybody can tell us about them? -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 03:57, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
