This species is endemic to the west coast of Northland in the North Island of New Zealand.
[edit] Habitat
This wentletrap is found at depths of about 130 m.
[edit] Shell description
The shell of this species is small, solid, and white with an attenuated spire. The shell sculpture consists of dense spiral striations, overriding axial folds that are weak over the spire whorls, but become nodulose on the body whorl where they cross two prominent spiral keels, one peripheral, and the other encircling the upper base. The suture is adpressed, alternatively scalloped and pitted. The circular aperture is surrounded by a heavy varix which is radially striated.
The shell height is up to 7 mm, and width 2.5 mm.
