No U-Turn Recordings
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
No U-Turn Recordings is a UK-based record label owned and run by Nico (Nicholas Kristian Sykes).
A visionary producer and pioneer of drum and bass-driven techstep, he helped develop ground-breaking artists such as Ed Rush, Trace, Ryme Tyme, Fierce, Sinthetix, Silent Witness & Break. The label earned a reputation as a legendary outlet for cutting-edge, dark, ground-breaking drum and bass and for having helped shape the scene through the birth and evolution of the techstep and neurofunk sub-genres.
The label's catalogue has been showcased twice in the compilation releases "Torque" (1997) and "Nico Presents Acolyte: From Jungle To Drum & Bass" (2002). Sister label Saigon provided two more albums "Incoming" (1998) and "Ambush" (1999).
