[edit] Background
An incarnation of the band began in 1994 under the name Black Talon. In early 2000, they changed their name to No One and joined up with bassist Mike "Flare" Flaherty, formerly of the band Loudmouth, and drummer Billy K. In August of that year, they signed with Immortal Records and began work on their debut album.
They released their album, the self-titled No One on August 14, 2001 via Immortal Records. They played at such events as Ozzfest in 2001 (second stage act), and on the "Pledge of Allegiance Tour" in 2001 along such bands as System of a Down, Rammstein, American Head Charge, Slipknot and Mudvayne, and a video for the song "Chemical" garnered airplay on MTV2.
However, the album didn't sell very well due to the band arriving at the height of the nu metal movement, and being lost amongst a sea of many similar-sounding bands. They were dropped from Immortal Records in 2002, and also parted ways with their bassist. However, that didn't stop them from recording a series of demos in 2003 and posting them on their now-defunct webpage before calling it a day later that year. Several of their songs (such as Cut, and Hype) appeared in the videogame Hunter: The Reckoning: Wayward.
