"No News" is a single by American country music band Lonestar. Released as the second single from their self-titled debut album, the song reached the top of the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, giving the group their first Number One single.
The song is a moderate up-tempo in which the narrator tells of how his girlfriend has left him; having not heard from her, he states that he would "prefer a bad excuse to no news". In the verses, he offers several possibilities as to her disappearance, such as "Lost her car at the mall / Got locked in a bathroom stall".[1]
