[edit] Current role

1 FTS is still based at RAF Linton-on-Ouse with the purpose of training jet pilots and navigators for the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy.[1] The school uses 78 two seat, turboprop, basic trainer Short Tucano T1.[3]
