No. 622 Squadron RAF

No. 622 Squadron RAF was a bomber squadron of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War.

It was first formed at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk in August 1943, equipped with Stirling III bombers, as part of 3 Group in Bomber Command.

It re-equipped with Lancaster III bombers in December, after briefly operating Lancaster Is that month, and was disbanded at Mildenhall in August 1945.
