[edit] Plot

Josh spends the day with a psychotherapist from ATVA (American Trauma Victims Association) recounting events that ended in him putting his hand through a window in his apartment. He admits to Leo that he has posttraumatic stress disorder and Leo promises him "as long as I got a job, you got a job."

[edit] Awards

The episode won the ASC award for cinematography.[1]

[edit] Trivia

While filming the episode, the 2000 Election was taking place and cast and crew were gravitating to watch. Bradley Whitford, a campaigner for candidate Al Gore, commented "I'd worked hard on the campaign and was very anxious. Thank God it's an episode where I'm supposed to be emotionally discombobulated."[citation needed]

As of May 2007, it is one of the top 5 West Wing episodes[2].

Cellist Yo-Yo Ma makes a guest appearance, as himself.
