Nitenite
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
nitenite is a hotel chain that opened its first property in Birmingham in 2007.
The nitenite brand was created by the late Neil Tibbatt, of design/architecture firm, Tibbatts Associates. The concept is to provide compact, but high-spec hotel rooms in urban centres where space is at a premium. The concept is similar to the Yotel! chain, launched by Simon Woodroffe of Yo!Company.
The company currently has one hotel, with further properties in development.

[edit] Rooms
Rooms at the chains first hotel in Birmingham are a compact 6.8m2, with double bed, small work desk, and en-suite wet room with power shower. The rooms are all windowless, but each have a wall-mounted 42" plasma television screen, which in addition to a number of free and pay TV channels broadcasts a live feed from cameras mounted on the buildings roof - giving guests a "view" of the city skyline.
Based on guest feedback from the Birmingham property the groups second hotel - due to open in Berlin in spring 2009 - has been designed with larger rooms (12m2), with all rooms having windows.
