[edit] Nissan Murano

As an owner of a Murano for about a year now, I can tell you that it is a great automobile. It handles better than most of the other SUV's that I have driven. It drives and feels very much like a car rather than an SUV.

Another advantage over most of the SUV’s is that the roof height is fairly low in comparison. This allows the Murano to go in to garage spaces where many of the larger SUV's cannot fit. This is the case with many of the older buildings.

As for the fuel economy, it is a little better than most of the other SUV's using the same size of engine. This is probably due to the CVT transmission.

I found that the response time for fast acceleration is a little delayed. This has to do with the CVT transmission characteristics. When pressing hard on the accelerator pedal to pass someone, the feel of the response is a little sluggish in comparison to a vehicle with a regular transmission. There is no kickdown effect. I found this to be a minor problem. As for the overall acceleration, it is actualy faster than most other SUV's in its size and weight class.

As for its overall comfort, I found it to be very good. I can take very long drives in this vehicle, and I feel very comfortable. To me it is more like a terrific oversized car rather than being a small truck.
