Nirvino is a social networking website devoted to reviews, information, and news on wine. The name derives from a portmanteau of the words Nirvana and Vino (wine).

Nirvino was founded on January 10, 2007 by wine aficionados and graduates of University of California, San Diego Christian Schroeder and Phil McGarr. Their goal was to create an easy way to separate good wine from bad. Nirvino's technology combines wine reviews from print, online, and broadcast wine critics into 1 simple score. Nirvino's online community users can search, review, share, and shop for wine on the site.

The site has been noted on CNET TV,[1]Apple Inc.,[2] and the The Huffington Post.[3]
