Nirendranath Chakravarty

Nirendranath Chakravarty (1924) is a popular contemporary Bengali poet.
Some of his popular poems are:
- Amalkanti Roddur Hotay Cheyachilo
- Kolkatar Jisu
- Ulanga Raja
He won the Sahitya Academy Award in 1974 for the book of poems Ulanga Raja (The Naked King).
AMALKANTI is a 35mm format short film based on a poem by Nirendranath Chakravarthi, directed by ARK Reepon made by the Group-B students of 2nd Advance Film Appreciation Course 2007-08, Bangladesh Film Archive.
