Nipponization (also known as Nipponisation or Nihonization) is the term used for the influence Japan has on the culture of other countries, primarily the United States.

Japanese television censorship laws are different from western censorship laws. The Japanese Adult Industry is required by law to censor any adult content by using a technique known as pixelisation.
