The Nippon Budo Sogo International is India's first and only Koryu martial arts society,literally translated it means the Japanese martial arts society, it is a federation of like minded individuals,promoting ancient Japanese martialarts in India, the NBSII recognises the intrinsic value of each budo art form and strives to teach it in its purest version.
The society itself was founded in 1998 by Shihan Mehul Vora[1] to officially teach and promote Kuyukai Gojuryu Karate-Do,Mugai-Ryu Heido,Kushinkai Jojutsu,Kokodoryu Aikijujutsu,and Kushinkai Kobudo.
The NBSII is currently the largest and only multiple martial arts federation in India officially licensed to teach and promote the following arts from Japan.
Nihon Gojuryu Karate-Do Kuyukai Japan of Shihan Hirano Osamu 8th Dan JKF
Mugairyu Iai heido Nichiryukai of Shihan Kazo Inoue (Nichiryu) 7th Dan Japan Kendo Renmei
Kushinkai Jodo/jojutsu of Shihan Kanaya Jinju 6th Dan JKF Gojukai,6th Dan Shindo Muso Ryu Jodo
Kokodoryu Aikijujitsu Renmei of Shoshi Irie Yashuhiro Hanshi 10th dan Kaiden Shihan
and lastly Kushinkai Kobudo of Shihan Kanaya Jinju 6th Dan Ryu Kyu Kobudo Hozon Shinkokai.
Currently the NBSII has over 56 Dojo all over India, promoting the said arts.
The society is well known for promoting Karate-Do by organising the Mumbai Interschool sports Karate-Do tournament,which is indisputably the largest Interschool Karate-Do tournament in India.
