Nine Zero
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nine zero is the name of Pakistan's political party Muttahida Quami Movement central office in Azizabad, a sub-division of Federal B. Area town of Karachi. The name emerged from the last two digits of the phone number at the premises. The modest house, constructed on 120 yards (1080 sq.ft.) lot, belonged to the family of the founder of MQM, Altaf Hussain.
It is now the center of MQM's political and social activities. Mr. Hussain frequently delivers his speeches here, and important political meetings and discussions are held here as well. The name of MQM's central headquarters Nine-Zero came from the divisional unit by which MQM has divided the city of karachi.
