Course credit for a full year course is awarded at the end of the year and is based on the final course average of the two semester grades.
A weighted system of awarding grade points is used to reflect differences in the difficulty of course levels.
CLASS RANK
Class rank is determined for students at the end of their junior year (six-semester ranking) and at the end of their senior year (final ranking). These rankings, based on the cumulative grade point average (GPA), include all credit courses taken since entry into the ninth grade, and certain courses (as indicated on the transcript) taken in the eighth grade. The GPA is determined by dividing the total grade points earned (based on final course averages) by the number of courses attempted.
