Personal Life
Arti Shinde is a former corporator of NMMC from sector - 9, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. She was from Shiv Sena Ruling ward no 57 from 2000 to 2005, Arti was born on 26th February 1962 in Mumbai itself. She started her life as a normal house wife and then stood by people majority participated in the elections of 2000 held in NMMC. She won the elections defeating around 8 candidates.
Political life
During Her Tenure she has done a lot amount of work in her area. She was complemented by many of the big leaders of various parties. Arti Shinde has completed her higher secondary education from a village school after which she was brought by her parents to Mumbai. She was married to Ganesh Shinde on 19th February 1981. Having two sons Nikhil Shinde and Nishant Shinde she very nicely managed her family. There was a boon to her Life when other people around her boosted her inner talents and quality’s and made her stand in the elections, Firstly she did not agree but later looking at the expectations of the people and the trust they showered made her go for it and finally after a fight of 2 – 3 months she won the elections.
Elections
She was very formally greeted by the people and had many ideas in her mind regarding the development of the area; The first start of the work was form change of all the water pipe Lines followed by chock up gutter pipe lines in her area which nearly solved 66% of water problem in the sector – 9 area. Later moving ahead she took over the Sarvajanik Ganesh Uthsov Mandal in her hand controlling the bad habits that existed in some of the notorious people in the area which made many good people hop into this program held on yearly basis with their families and children. By her stiff decision and rough nature she completely change the bad environment of sector 9 to a very leaving place where people are now about to wander happily.
Her Work period
Moving ahead with her work she reconstructed the Ganapati stage into a good form which help people save their money during functions held there. She also constructed a library building come study rooms in her area which helped students study within a clam atmosphere which they were not able to due to small houses and big families in her area.
Problems in her political life
Arti Shinde faced many problems from her opponents troubling her in every possible way to discourage her from her daily routine work for people. The major in this was Kishore Patkar a next ward corporator he himself had around 15 -20 cases on him of thefts, dacoits and half murder which he proved to be false with power of money. His nature to trouble people was too put on feet’s by Arti madam by making him defeat the next coming elections , In these elections Kishore tried his level best to trouble madam by Cartoons and news articles published by him which were given answer with full power.
Big Heart
In the year 2005 elections the ward no 57 was changed to be a OBC ward, after her tenure she is again leaving a normal life like a house wife with no change in her nature and behavior with a soft spoken manure and yes she is continuing with her social work even after the end of the political life. She was offered many of the post from party but betraying all she just continued with her social work.
