Nikolay Semenovich Tikhonov

Nikolay Semenovich Tikhonov (Тихонов, Николай Семёнович) (December 4, 1896 (Nov. 22 OS)—February 8, 1979) - a Russian writer, a member of the Serapion Brothers literary group. He is one of a few Soviet people, who were awarded the Lenin Peace Prize (1957). Between 1944 and 1946 he served as chair of the Union of Soviet Writers
