Niko Marzouca

Niko Marzouca (born July 21, 1978) is an American musical recording engineer who lives and works in Miami, Florida.

In his teenage years, Marzouca was a reggae dancehall DJ. His journey to engineering fame began after graduating from Full Sail Real World Education in April 1997. His first job as an assistant engineer was at Studio Center (now known as Supersonic Studios) in Miami. In 1999, he joined Circle House Studio (owned by reggae band Inner Circle) and became an essential part of the team, working with Lenny Kravitz, Julio Iglesias, Enrique Iglesias, José Feliciano, Mariah Carey, Mobb Deep, Cash Money and others.

In 2001 Diaz Brothers Production featured Marzouca as a vocalist on "Bomba" (remix), which was nominated by the Latin Billboard Awards for Best Dance Remix and sold in excess of 500,000 copies, obtaining US gold status. Marzouca chose not to leave engineering behind, but his experience on the "other side of the glass" added a new dimension to his engineering skills, giving him the confidence he needed to go freelance.

That same year, producer Richard Martin (Richie D) asked Marzouca to mix the Latin version of "Fat Sexy Punky" for Sean Paul's Dutty Rock album, which later won the Best Reggae Album Grammy in 2004. Marzouca's astonishing sense of creativity and drive for sonic excellence led Redstripe Reggae Sumfest to contract him for the recording and mixing of their four-day super show in Jamaica, including international superstars Ja Rule, Foxy Brown and Shaggy.

Although highly technical in his approach, Marzouca has a relaxed manner and a personal connection to his clients that helps him truly understand where they want to take their projects. He has recorded, mixed and/or remixed for just about every major label in the American music business and over twenty-five of the music industry's top producers, including Scott Storch, Lauren Hill, Steven Marley and Damien Marley, who are recurring clients. Marzouca has worked on numerous gold and platinum recordings.
