He is a member of the Russia national team that won the EuroBasket 2007, played for it at the 2000 Olympics and won a silver medal at the 1998 FIBA World Championship.

His team Triumph (he played for them since 2004) has announced they won't need his services for the 2007/08 season, but he still has valid contract with the team and intends to hold Triumph to it.[1]

In the past, he has played for CSKA Moscow (1995-97, 2000-02), Atletas Kaunas in Lithuania (1997-99), Avtodor Saratov (2002) and Dynamo Moscow (2002-03) in Russia and Makedonikos Kozani in Greece (2003-04). He has been under contract with the NBA team Portland Trail Blazers for three separate periods (January 26 - April 24, 1999; October 7, 1999 - April 14, 2000 and October 11 - October 28, 2000), but has not played in any regular season NBA games for the team.
