Nik Halik (b. May 14, 1971) is an Australian trader and millionaire who has purchased a spot as the back-up spaceflight participant for the Soyuz TMA-13 mission scheduled for October 2008.[1] If space tourist Richard Garriott is unable to participate in the flight, Halik will take his place on the mission through private company Space Adventures and become the first Australian private citizen in space.
