[edit] Minor edits
While I would definitely agree that this edit is appropriate, and an improvement to the page, I don't think it should have been marked as a minor edit, because it changes the content of the article. Most people use "minor edit" only for formatting changes, correcting typos, and other things that don't affect the meaning of the text. You might want to check out Help:Minor edit. --Ptkfgs 14:33, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Multiple working
It's not really a very helpful title. Would you consider finding a new title for it? --Dweller 11:17, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
This is the official name recognised by the rail industry, rail literature and linked from other Wiki pages.
[edit] Tractive effort table
(As used in Tractive effort, Maximum tractive effort, Continuous tractive effort and Power at rail.)
The class 60 figures have maximum TE lower than continuous, which doesn't make sense; I'd guess they have been accidentally entered the wrong way round, but do not have the data to hand to verify this.
Also several entries are very close to speed x continuous tractive effort = power at rail, suggesting that this speed may actually be the maximum speed at which rated continuous tractive effort is available (and hence the minimum, rather than maximum, speed at which it is permissible to continuously use full throttle; tractive effort decreases with speed due to the finite power available, with the rated maximum tractive effort being possible only at even lower speeds). From what source did you obtain this data? -QuantumEngineer 22:56, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for your reply. You are, of course, correct - the maximum tractive effort should not be greater than the continuous tractive effort. The maximum tractive effort of the Class 60 should not have said 200kN but 500kN. Thanks for your information, which I will amend now. Nickg1980 09:07, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
Thanks for your reply to my comment on Talk: High Speed Train Chevin 08:34, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- Your welcome. Nickg1980 09:07, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bexley
Regarding your edits to Bexley articles, Wikipedia has a policy of using current county information rather than historic or former postal. The policy is here: Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(places)#Counties_of_Britain. Mrsteviec 06:17, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] See also
Thanks for your message. Although I am somewhat confused by it. Removing sections of duplicated information is never bad. The "see also" section is not a place to repeat links already contained in the article, it should point the reader to further information not discussed in the article. Furthermore, if you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it. Mrsteviec 12:43, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hither Green rail crash
Please take a moment to read the information and follow the links contained in your welcome message. Removing that infobox to try and prove a point is very bad form. Mrsteviec 12:49, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- The infobox, as I explained on another talk page was a mistake. I was merely trying to revert your deletions, and I made an innocent, although poor, mistake. Please do not delete information which is interesting and relevant by other users. Please feel free to improve my articles, but do not vandalise them. Many thanks. Nickg1980 12:57, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

- I have added a footer to the bottom of the page that lists all rail accidents in the London area. The links you are adding duplicate this, which is why I removed them. Mrsteviec 13:01, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
