[edit] Images
Hello. Welcome to Wikipedia. I believe the fair-use rational for the Kisame image needs more information. Cheers. Earthbendingmaster 01:28, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I am Artist Formerly Known As Whocares (call me either "Artist" or "Whocares" for short), and I am a regular editor for the Naruto articles. Thank you for uploading those images to Wikipedia. However, in a discussion several months ago, it was agreed to use as little images as possible on the Akatsuki page. The group image was loaded, and one for Pain (the leader) was also added because he had six bodies. If you wish to add more images to the page, then please say so on the talk page for the Akatsuki article before doing so, as not all members might agree on having a large number of pictures. [edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Deidara90.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Deidara90.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 00:20, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wha?
No. I didn't. I haven't been on the computer today until now. In any case, you need to actually check the discussions first, and you need to use English. The reason the pictures were deleted is
- The fair-use rationales were non-existent or deficient, and
- Wikipedia must maintain minimal use of non-free images
There is no need for an image unless it is necessary to understand the subject - I rather think that explaining that someone has blue hair in a bun would be a satisfactory explanation of Konan, for example, and thus the picture really isn't needed. One might be acceptable for Pain's six bodies, but we don't need a separate image for each character. Read the guidelines before you act disruptive again. Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 00:34, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
-
- That makes the case even simpler - fan art is blatant copyright infringement, as you are trying to claim Kishimoto's designs as your own. You did not have permission to use them on wiki, as they belong to neither you nor the person who drew them - they belong to Kishimoto. Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 00:39, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:Hidan.jpg
A tag has been placed on Image:Hidan.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Speedy deletion of Image:Orochimaru90.jpg
A tag has been placed on Image:Orochimaru90.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
