I loves the basketball (playing and watching). I closely examine most levels of the sport (i.e NBA, NBADL, American Basketball Association (21st century), etc.), of other countries (i.e. Euroleague and Russian Basketball Super League), and internationally (i.e. Olympics and Basketball World Championships). I root for teams based on their current players. In other words, I cheers moreso for individual players/coaches/management than I do for "teams" (i.e. I loved the Steve Smith and Stacey Augmon Atlanta Hawks but not so much the Toni Kukoc and Brevin Knight Hawks. There are three teams that I follow very closely (i.e. Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets [post 1996], and Los Angeles Lakers) There is only one team that I unconditionally hate (i.e. Chicago Bulls). Other peeves: Players that I hate moving to teams that I love (i.e. Mario Elie and Luc Longley to the Suns (that sure sucked). Steve Kerr to the Blazers (damn)) and players that I love moving to teams that I hate (i.e. Shawn Marion to the Bulls?).

I haves a very similar passion for professional baseball at most levels (i.e. MLB, MiLB, non-affiliated teams, etc.), of other countries (i.e. Dominican Republic), and internationally (i.e. Olympics and World Baseball Classic). I enjoy professional player-development leagues of these two sports.

In light of all that, I am not a fan of collegiate basketball and baseball. Why?

Basketball reasons:

1. The one-and-one
2. Possession arrow
3. Calling a timeout without the ball
4. A technical foul results in two free throws
5. Five-foul limit
6. Two halves/no quarters
7. 35 second shot clock!
8. TV-time out? What?
9. Not being required to have players box out during free throws
10. Continuous running game clock
Other things that suck about NCAA men’s basketball
1. Crowd singing/chanting in unison
2. Coaches not required to wear suits (sweatshirt will do)
3. Players shoot 3-pointers from same distance as high-school girls
4. Ball movement just for the sake of ball movement...usually resulting in turnover
5. Brackets, brackets, brackets
6. Short sleeve shirts under jerseys
