There is no official Symbol, Flag or Anthem in kosovo at the moment, but a variety of flags and symbols are used through out the Province of Kosovo. Now that kosovo is pushing towards it's independence it needs to find a Symbol, Flag, Coat of Arms and Anthem. Over time the people of Kosovo had made symbols and flags that may one day get official status, there is a list of them below.

[edit] Albania Flag
The flag of Albania is often used by the Albanian majority in Kosovo.
The national flag of Albania is a base red flag with a black two-headed eagle in the centre. It is derived from the similar seal of Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg, a 15th century Albanian who led the revolt against the Ottoman Empire that resulted in brief independence for Albania from 1443 to 1478. The current flag was officially adopted on April 7, 1992,
but previous Albanian states such as the Kingdom of Albania and the post-war communist state had used much the same flag, with the former sporting the "Helmet of Skanderbeg" above the eagle and the latter a red star with a yellow rim.
The symbolism of the bicephalated eagle is that of the religiously divided Albanians, when the Albanians were divided into Christians of the Western Catholic tradition and the Orthodox East. The National Assembly of Vlora which proclaimed Albanian Independence on 28 November 1912 approved the flag as a symbol of the Albanian nation.

The flag of Serbia is often used by the Serb Minority in Kosovo.
The flag ratio is 2:3 (height/width), with the three colours each taking one third of the height. Recommended colours, starting from the top, are:
- Red, Pantone 193C, CMYK 0-90-70-10
- Blue, Pantone 287C, CMYK 100-55-0-0
- White, CMYK 0-0-0-0
- Yellow (on the coat of arms), Pantone 116C, CMYK 0-10-95-0
The flag has small Coat of Arms of Serbia centered vertically and located left of center by one-seventh of the length of the flag.

This Albanian flag with a red star outlined in yellow is NOT the flag of Kosovo. It is the flag of the Albanian Ethnical Community in Kosovo. It is often mixed up and believed to be the national flag of Kosovo. Many Kosovans believe that this is, or want it to be the national flag of kosovo.
It has the Albanian Red color in the background and the Two Headed Black Eagle in the foreground. It has a red start outlined in yellow above the eagle.

This is the Flag of the Defense Corps in Kosovo, It is sometimes believed to be a flag of Kosovo. This flag has the Albanian Red Color in the Background and the state of Kosovo in the foreground.

This is the flag of the Kosovo Liberation Army (Ushtria Çlirimtare e Kosovës) They use this flag to represent themselves for the Kosovo independence movement.
The Second flag is a Mini-Flag which is sometimes flown, but is generally used on arm patches on KLA members.

Flag of Dardania, Ibrahim Rugova, leader of the democratic league in kosovo, introduced this flag for the state of kosovo.

A Montenegro flag based Kosovo Flag. It has an Albanian Red color instead of the Montenegro Red color. The two-headed black Eagle is in the center of the flag with the Word “Kosovo” on the top. other versions of this flag include “Kosova” or “Kosovë” instead of Kosovo.
