Nicolas Appert 1749 in Châlons en Champagne france

is not a brother of Benjamin Nicolas Marie Appert

death 1841 in Massy france

Can the article be more specific about his birth date? I guess in 1750's records are not that accurate and Internet sources may not be authoritative, but here are some conflicting sources:

(1) Nicolas Appert was born on October 23, 1752. What a wonderful day to celebrate Home Canning and preserving! http://hometown.aol.com/acalendar/October/cannedfood.html

(2) Nicolas François Appert [b. Châons-sur-Marne, France, October 23, 1752, d. Massy, near Paris, June 3, 1841] http://www.answers.com/topic/nicolas-francois-appert?cat=technology
