Fouquet has been identified with the Man in the Iron Mask, but this theory is quite impossible.

Why? Also, I don't think that the use of "quite impossible" is really appropriate in the article.

I believe this sentence alludes to the mystery that reportedly shrouded the circumstances of Fouquet's death. If you can read French, it's all explained at fr:Nicolas_Fouquet#La_fin. I agree the phrase is somewhat ambiguous. Jastrow (Λέγετε) 17:18, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
