[edit] Plutarch as a Source
- Plutarch's a pretty disreputable source to just believe wholeheartedly, and anyway, the citations really need to be more specific than they are. This thing is a real mess.--CaesarGJ (talk) 00:23, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ostracizing Hyperbolus
Alcibiades was renown for his ostentation, which makes the point claiming that people favoured Alcibiades because Nicias was an aristocrat moot. If anything Cleon was a demagogue as much for his speaking as for his status as the son of a tanner. Source that point, because it contravenes 90% of what I know to be true in the period. I'll improve the section when I have more time in two weeks.
After reviewing much of this article I've determined that the quality of writing here, which is fair, needs some certain reworking. I've noticed there have been very few contributers to this article which I am certain exacerbates the issue.

This article is highly misinformed when it comes to the Sicilian Campaign, at the very least. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Burnthetown (talk • contribs) 20:11, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
