Nicolò Urbinati

Nicolò Urbinati is an Italian-Spanish singer and model born in Madrid on May 13, 1995, commonly known by his artistic name, Nico.
Urbinati started co-featuring chapters of programs in Disney Channel in 2001. He also did some fashion parades for Benetton in Italy in 2002.
In 2003 he won his first musical prize as revelation artist in program Veo Veo of Spain performing several shows on theater.
Urbinati became known by the great public as he achieved to reach the national finals of Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Spain in 2004 in the same group where was also María Isabel, eventually the final european winner. With this group, Urbinati recorded and released his first disc, Eurojunior 2004, with his original songs.
He fastly gained the affection of public with his performances and way of being as shown in interviews, mischievous, but responsible, tender and charismatic, and also thankful and dedicating his songs. This could have guided him to earn the production of his second disc, despite his early age. The disc, produced by Sony and recorded in Miami, was titled "Yo Soy Así" ("I'm this way"), sung in Spanish and Italian and with songs written by himself. This disc sold more than 200,000 copies in Spain and Urbinati prepares to release internationally.
In 2005 he took part in several beneficent celebrations and as for 2006 Urbinati started a tour of concerts throughout Spain performing songs of his two discs.
At present, Urbinati studies singing, dancing, piano and guitar in the school of the Adolfo Marsillach theater in Madrid. He is bilingual in Spanish and Italian and also speaks English, singing sometimes several pieces in this languages in public galas. Urbinati has stated that Astronomy is one of his hobbies.
