Nick Setta

Nicolas " Nick " Setta (May 6, [1981]) is a player in the professional Canadian Football League currently signed with the Hamilton, Ontario Tiger Cats. His primary position is placekicker; and he is classified under CFL rules as an "import". He is 5'11" tall and 189 pounds.

Setta played collegiately at the University of Notre Dame. His high school career was played at Lockport Township High School in Lockport, Illinois, his birthplace.

Nick played four seasons (2000-03) at Notre Dame and successfully kicked 46 of 66 field goal attempts, the second most field goals in Notre Dame football history.

The New Orleans Saints signed Setta as an un-drafted free-agent on May 13 of the 2004 NFL Draft.

In 2005 he signed as a free-agent with the Chicago Bears … he was placed on waivers by Chicago on June 9 and subsequently claimed by the Cleveland Browns on June 14 was released by the Browns on July 21 initially played with the Rhein Fire of the World League of Professional footbal during the spring.

The Buffalo Bills signed Setta as a free-agent on January 9th…attended the Bills training camp and played in three games during the regular season, averaging 43 yards on seven punts…also connected on both of his extra point attempts…was released by the Bills on August 28th…initially played with the Cologne Centurions during the spring after Buffalo allocated him to NFL Europe.

In 2006 he signed with the Ti-cats as a free agent on December 12.

Setta scored 167 points in his first year in Canada.
