Nick Ries is a clever midfielder for the Hawthorn Hawks who was drafted at pick.21 in the 2000 Draft. From 2002 he played a possible 60 out of 66 matches but has since struggled.
Ries managed only 10 games in 2006, and was deemed as trade-bait.
