Nick Halling
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nick Halling is a sports broadcaster and journalist. He often presents American football and ice hockey and is widely known for being a presenter alongside Cass Edwards on Matchroom Sport for the world's three most prestigious ten-pin bowling events: the Weber Cup, World Tenpin Masters and the AMF World Cup. His catchphrase, 'In there like Swimwear!', is legendary in ten-pin circles.
Halling also co-presents the National Football League on Sky Sports along with Kevin Cadle and National Hockey League on Channel Five in the UK. He also narrates Channel 4's football programme Goalissimo and Channel Five's World's Strongest Man.
He was the first non-American to commentate on a live NFL game in the USA. His passion for the sport is greatly admired by the UK's legion of NFL fans. Nick has a wry sense of humour and often enjoys witty exchanges with Cadle. Their popular double act has seen NFL viewing figures on Sky increase by 45% from last season.[when?]
Nick recently claimed that the NFC Divisional play-off game between Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks - a high-scoring game with multiple turnovers and touchdowns played in blizzard conditions - was his idea of 'football heaven'.
Nick commentated live for Sky Sports from the University of Phoenix Stadium, Arizona for Super Bowl XLII with Scott McCready providing the main studio analysis along with Cadle.
