Nichinyo Hayase (早瀬 日如 Hayase Nichinyo?, born 1935-02-26 in Tokyo) is the 68th high priest of Nichiren Shōshū, one of the larger sects of Nichiren Buddhism. He assumed this position on December 16 2005. He is known within the sect as Nichinyo Shōnin, shōnin being the traditional honorific applied to Nichiren Shōshū high priests.
