This template is used as an infobox on New Zealand motorways. It can also be used for expressways.

The following table explains the parameters that this template uses.
An example of usage follows the table.
| Parameter | Contents |
|---|---|
| motorway | The name of the motorway. |
| image-file | The name of the image which you wish to display. You don't need "[[image:". |
| image-size | The image size (e.g. 150px). Maximum 200px. |
| image-caption | The caption for the image. |
| state-highway | The State Highway number(s) of the motorway. |
| length-km | The length of the motorway in kilometres. |
| length-mi | The length of the motorway in miles. |
| direction | The primary direction of the motorway (e.g. North - South) |
| start | The terminus of the motorway with the lowest exit number. Put the locality first, followed by <br>, then the road it terminates onto. |
| destinations | The major destinations along the motorway. |
| end | The terminus of the motorway with the highest exit number. Put the locality first, followed by <br>, then the road it terminates onto. |
| opening-date | The year the first section of the motorway opened. |
| completion-date | The year the last section of the motorway opened. |
| junctions | The State Highways the motorway joins. List them as '''Exit xx'''<br>State Highway xx ([[Motorway name]]), with <br> between separate listings. If it joins no State Highways, write ''None'' |
