Talk:News ticker
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The second paragraph of the History section states that "...the start of the ticker's cycle was often accompanied by an attention signal, usually the station's channel number in Morse code." I believe the signal is just a series of beeps used to call viewers attention to the crawling information, and not any form of the station's channel number or callsign. If someone has a source for this, please post one.Thomprod (talk) 15:28, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
